Services
Our practice offers a breadth of assessment options, without sacrificing depth of expertise.
Assessment is the center of the work. Around it sit consultation, psychotherapy, and education — each grounded in the same careful, practical psychology approach to cognition and mental health.
What to expect
What to Expect from Your Assessment

Every assessment is tailored to you. Before we begin any testing, we start with a clinical interview — a relaxed 45–60 minute phone conversation where we talk through your history, your concerns, and what you're hoping to better understand. This conversation shapes the specific tests we use (i.e. the “test battery”), in order to curate a custom analysis and answer the questions that matter most.
From there, our testing explores:
- Thinking skills — things like memory, attention, problem-solving, processing speed, and reasoning (“executive functioning,” of course). This helps paint a picture of how your mind is working day to day.
- Emotional wellbeing — we also screen broadly for things like mood, anxiety, and other psychological factors that could be part of the picture.
- Everyday functioning — we look at how any symptoms might be showing up in real life — at work, in relationships, or in daily routines — so the results connect back to real-world, daily operations. We want our reports to be useful to understanding yourself, your strengths, and help you set yourself up for success.
At the end, you'll walk away with clear answers, not just a stack of numbers — and a better understanding of what's going on and what might help. You'll receive a copy of your report, which you can share with your other healthcare professionals to inform your progress moving forward.
Not every question needs the same depth. We offer assessment in tiers, so you receive the level of testing that actually answers your question.

An investment in clarity
A thoughtful assessment can provide a clearer understanding of cognitive, developmental, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs — and a practical path forward for the individual, family, school, or treatment team.
We discuss fees openly before services begin. Assessment fees vary based on the referral question, the complexity of the case, the records to be reviewed, interviews, testing, scoring, and report-writing needs.

Insurance & superbills
Be More Psychological Group is an out-of-network, self-pay practice at this time (insurance paneling coming soon). We do not bill insurance directly and are not an in-network provider.
If your health plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may request an itemized superbill after services are completed and payment has been received. You may submit this document to your insurance company to request possible reimbursement.
Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed. Any reimbursement decision is made solely by your insurance plan and may depend on your specific benefits, deductible, out-of-network coverage, authorization requirements, and the insurer's coverage determination. You are responsible for all fees regardless of whether insurance reimburses any portion of the cost.
Be More Psychological Group does not submit claims, verify benefits, obtain authorization, accept assignment of benefits, negotiate reimbursement, or manage insurance appeals.
Before you begin
Before scheduling, we encourage you to contact your insurance company and ask:
- Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for psychological or neuropsychological assessment?
- Is prior authorization or a referral required?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met?
- What percentage of the allowed amount does my plan reimburse for out-of-network psychological testing?
- What CPT codes, documentation, or claim form does my plan require for reimbursement?
