Fees & Insurance
An investment in clarity
A thoughtful assessment can provide a clearer understanding of cognitive, developmental, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs — and a practical path forward for the individual, family, school, or treatment team.
We discuss fees openly before services begin. Assessment fees vary based on the referral question, the complexity of the case, the records to be reviewed, interviews, testing, scoring, and report-writing needs.
Assessment fees
Diagnostic Interviewing
A structured clinical interview focused on symptoms, developmental and medical history, and current functioning, with a ~2 page written report. Often sufficient when the clinical picture is relatively clear.
$195
Neuropsychological Screening
A targeted, cost-effective, alternative to a full evaluation, also called Psychometric Testing or Psychometric Screening. Includes an ~8 page written report. Best suited to high-functioning individuals where ADHD is the only concern; not suited to cases where ADHD is only one hypothesis among several issues, or where workplace or school accommodations are being explicitly sought.
$699
Neuropsychological Evaluation
$2,999
Neurodevelopmental Assessment (ADHD / Autism)
$2,999
Psychoeducational Assessment / Independent Educational Evaluation
$3,300
Cognitive Rehabilitation / Consultation
Follow-up sessions are $115 each. These sessions clarify the results of your neuropsychological report and help you carry out the recommendations and treatment plan from a neuropsychological perspective (no medication management).
$165 initial · $115 follow-up
Social Media Addiction
One-on-one sessions online, or in person in Bird Rock, San Diego for $50 more per session.
$185 initial · $120 per session
Executive Functioning Coaching (Adults)
Practical, neuropsychology-informed coaching for planning, organization, time management, and follow-through.
$185 initial · $120 per session
The final fee is confirmed before the evaluation begins and reflects the individualized scope of services.
Insurance & superbills
Be More Psychological Group is an out-of-network, self-pay practice at this time (insurance paneling coming soon). We do not bill insurance directly and are not an in-network provider.
If your health plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may request an itemized superbill after services are completed and payment has been received. You may submit this document to your insurance company to request possible reimbursement.
Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed. Any reimbursement decision is made solely by your insurance plan and may depend on your specific benefits, deductible, out-of-network coverage, authorization requirements, and the insurer's coverage determination. You are responsible for all fees regardless of whether insurance reimburses any portion of the cost.
Be More Psychological Group does not submit claims, verify benefits, obtain authorization, accept assignment of benefits, negotiate reimbursement, or manage insurance appeals.
Before you begin
Before scheduling, we encourage you to contact your insurance company and ask:
- Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for psychological or neuropsychological assessment?
- Is prior authorization or a referral required?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met?
- What percentage of the allowed amount does my plan reimburse for out-of-network psychological testing?
- What CPT codes, documentation, or claim form does my plan require for reimbursement?
Good Faith Estimates
Self-pay clients may request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Good Faith Estimates are also provided when required by applicable law. You can read more under your rights & protections.
Your rights & protections
No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. Clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance are entitled to a written estimate of the expected charges for evaluation, consultation, or psychotherapy services.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate in writing at any time before scheduling, and you will receive one automatically at least one business day before your first appointment. If you are billed at least $400 more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
Keep a copy of your estimate for your records.
